• Kronkel.- The first in a regular series of commentaries on news isues. This one on digital caving.
• Damalo speleo accu verlichting. - Build your own electric rechargeable light equal to an FX-2. Creating your own equipment is fun according to the author, besides, it costs half as much.
• Speleo Sportief zomerkamp 1996. A sporting week was spent in the Vaucluse region in France. Trou le Souffleur, Aven Perte du Cavalon and several other caves were visited.
• Virtual Caving - The title is self-explanatory. Caves and caving on CD ROM and in virtual reality.
• Karst in Limburg - The first scientific report in the Netherlands on karst phenomena in Limburg's extensive marl deposits and mines. (part 1).
• Les Cascades de Syratu - A description of a popular canyon in the French Jura.
• Edelrid - An explanatory article on different types of edelrid cavingropes.
• Grotte de Chawresse. Another roundtrip in this classic Belgium cave. It was tough, as always.
• Poging tot doorsteek van het Verneau Systeem - An aborted attempt was made by some Dutch cavers traversing the Verneau System in the French Jura. A sudden change in the weather rapidly increased water levels and rendered the trip impossible.
• Grotte des Cavottes - A clubtrip to the French Jura region and a description of the Grotte des Cavottes.
• Bais un Canard. (Literal translation of f*** a duck) - Caving in the Ceze region in the South of France.
• Basiscursus Speleo Holland - A novice caver gives a detailed account of the beginners course in caving in which he participated.
• Screening voor antistoffen tegen de schimmel Histaplasma capsulatum. A Dutch hospital is conducting research on Histaplasmosis. The researchers call for Dutch cavers to give bloodsamples for their research.
• Nieuwsrubriek - Other short articles concern news from club committees, news from various caving publications, etc.
