- 4 de wondere wereld van Ao Phang-Nga (David Eskes, photo’s Erwin Lokhorst ) expedition. After the Laos 2000 expedition the author visits the sea-caves at the islands near Phuket by inflatable canoe.

- 27 Speleologie op de NGV-themadag 'calciet' (Herman de Swart, id photo’s) exhibition. Speleo Nederland presented their activities at a small convention about calcite of de Nederlandse Geologische Vereniging (the Dutch Geologicalsociety).
