3-4-2010 | "Spele-O-Feminin" International Gathering in the Ardeche, France

The FSE and the UIS Teaching department have the pleasure to officially invite you to participate to "Spele-O-Feminin" International Gathering from the 3rd to the 5th of April 2010 in Ardeche - France. It's the first time that a speleological international event will gather so many female cavers from all over Europe and elsewhere. Men are also welcome. SpeleO f�minin is an FSE EuroSpeleo Project FSE and is organised by the Rhone-Alpes Speleological FFS Committee in partnership with the Teaching department of the UIS, and also different sponsors and institutions. The idea has arisen from the discovery that, in different places in Europe, women organize camps to practice speleology together. We have therefore concluded that an international gathering of female speleologists could bring us a lot, on a human level and to share about our practices. This event will take place early April during Easter celebrations, in Ard�che, close by the Nature Reserve of Ard�che Gorges, globally known for its caves and prehistoric sites, between Lyon and Marseille. It will comprise cave visit and exploration, conferences, round tables, Gala night, movies projection and photos showing. Het 46e regionale speleologie congres Rh�ne-Alpes 2010 wordt gehouden in Autrans in de Vercors, Frankrijk op 24 en 25 april 2010 en is de gelegenheid om ontdekkingen onder speleologen uit te wisselen. Verwacht wordt een programma vol films en lezingen op wetenschappelijk en technisch gebied maar ook veel nieuws op het gebied van exploraties en ontdekkingen. Het thema is dit keer: onderwater staande gangenstelsels en gangenstelsels achter sifons. International conference in Budapest on the occasion of the "HUNDRED YEARS ANNIVERSARY OF THE ORGANISED HUNGARIAN SPELEOLOGY". With pre- and post-conference excursions to hungarian caves. Detailed information on: http://www.speleohungary100.hu/ The European Speleological Federation (FSE) announces that the 5th edition of the EuroSpeleo Forum will be held during the "SpeleoHungary 100" event, 100th anniversary of the Hungarian Society, from the 7th to the 9th of May 2010 in Budapest - Hungary. Everything has been made possible to welcome every European caver to gather there in order to meet and exchange. On site, there are plenty of possibilities of caving during and after the congress. Organisers have also prepared an "Hungarian SpeleoBar" that will be the main gathering point during the evenings. Basic registrations are at 30 euros and full registrations including the different meals and all the proceedings are at 65 euros up to 31st of December 2009. Register soon !

Tussen 13 en 16 mei 2010 vindt in Ennepetal in het Sauerland de 50e bijeenkomst plaats van het Verband der deutschen H�hlen- und Karstforscher e.V. en wordt het georganiseerd door en rond de Kluterth�hlen. Tijdens deze bijeenkomst zijn er veel stands, tentoonstellingen, presentaties en lezingen. Tevens zijn er excursies naar grotten in het Sauerland, waaronder een nachtexcursie om vleermuizen waar te nemen. En natuurlijk is er voldoende te eten en te drinken. 30-7-2010 | International Training Camp for Young Speleologists on the Schwabian Alb

Tent camp at the caving club building in Blaubeuren - Seissen - Germany. Recommended age for participants: 16 years and older. Caves are geotopes and biotopes therefore sensitive climate archives which are worth to explore. Research and protection of this climate archives and the actual cave climate, which is an indicator of climate changes, is an actual and important European concern. Speleologists can support the exploration and protection of these climate archives by international cooperation. A good training is the best base for research and caving activities. Therefore we offer different training courses and a wide supporting program covering all important caving themes. Due to small groups the training will be very effective. An additional intention of the camp is to meet other young cavers. You can establish ties, talk about your and their interests, hobbies and culture and perhaps meet them in their home area and visit karst areas and caves for future joint research. The camp is intended for young people who want to start with caving or who already have some experience and want to extend their skills. You should understand German or English language. 14th International Symposium on Vulcanospeleology Undara, North Queensland, Australia August 2010 Australia is pleased to host the next vulcanospeleology symposium, under the auspices of the International Union of Speleology�s Commission on Volcanic Caves. While the symposium will be co-sponsored by the Australian Speleological Federation and the Australasian Cave & Karst Management Association, it will be planned and organised by a small, though enthusiastic, group of volunteers � please bear with us. Formal sessions, plus a number of field trips, are planned to take place in the McBride Volcanic Province, at the Undara Volcanic National Park and Undara Experience (Lodge) some 300 km south-west of Cairns in Australia�s tropical north. 4-8-2010 | 70th Congress_Cuban Speleological Society, VI_Congress of FEALC

The Cuban Speleological Society (SEC, for its Spanish acronym), on the occasion of the commemoration of its 70th anniversary, calls all speleologist to participate in its 70th congress to be held in the city of Matanzas, Cuba, between August 4th to the 8th, 2010. In the framework of this event the VI Congress of the Speleological Federation of Latin America and the Caribbean (FEALC) will also be held. With approximately 90% of its territory consisting of karstic areas, the Matanzas Province has major cave systems at the gates of the city, of which stand out �for its speleothems, wildlife and management policies- the "Bellamar" and "Santa Catalina" cave systems, located on the north coast. Both caves have been categorized as National Monuments. Also in the plains of center-south Matanzas territory, extends the karstic region that feeds the underground aquifer system of the "Zapata Marshland", located in the National Park of the same name, which also holds the categories of Biosphere Reserve and Natural Heritage of Humanity.

International Scientific and Practical Conference �Speleology and Spelestology": development and interaction of sciences, which will be held from 16 to 20 November 2010 in Naberezhnye Chelny (Russia). Themes of the conference: 1. Speleology: 2. Spelestology (Artificial caves) 3. Protection and using of the caves. After scientific discussions two days of excursions will be organized.
