Tent camp at the caving club building in Blaubeuren - Seissen - Germany. Recommended age for participants: 16 years and older. Caves are geotopes and biotopes therefore sensitive climate archives which are worth to explore. Research and protection of this climate archives and the actual cave climate, which is an indicator of climate changes, is an actual and important European concern. Speleologists can support the exploration and protection of these climate archives by international cooperation. A good training is the best base for research and caving activities. Therefore we offer different training courses and a wide supporting program covering all important caving themes. Due to small groups the training will be very effective. An additional intention of the camp is to meet other young cavers. You can establish ties, talk about your and their interests, hobbies and culture and perhaps meet them in their home area and visit karst areas and caves for future joint research. The camp is intended for young people who want to start with caving or who already have some experience and want to extend their skills. You should understand German or English language. The International Caving Camp Supramontes 2010, EuroSpeleo Project supported by the FSE, will be held in Urzulei (Sardinia) from 1 to 15 august 2010. On the website you can find all necessary information if you are interested to participate in this camp. Please visit: http://www.aspros.it . We ask participants to register on this website with the online form, and to pay a minimum amount of 40 Euros (guaranteeing 5 days of camp). Subscription fees are composed of registration (5 euros) and a daily fee of 7 Euros. e.g., if one intends to stay 8 days the amount to be paid is 5 + 8x7 = 61 Euros, if one stays the entire 14 days the sum to be paid is 103 Euros. Subscription gives right to accommodation and food for the indicated days. Two social dinners will be organised (half camp and end of camp) and will be paid for (at moderate prices) on site.

14th International Symposium on Vulcanospeleology Undara, North Queensland, Australia August 2010 Australia is pleased to host the next vulcanospeleology symposium, under the auspices of the International Union of Speleology’s Commission on Volcanic Caves. While the symposium will be co-sponsored by the Australian Speleological Federation and the Australasian Cave & Karst Management Association, it will be planned and organised by a small, though enthusiastic, group of volunteers – please bear with us. Formal sessions, plus a number of field trips, are planned to take place in the McBride Volcanic Province, at the Undara Volcanic National Park and Undara Experience (Lodge) some 300 km south-west of Cairns in Australia’s tropical north. The Cuban Speleological Society (SEC, for its Spanish acronym), on the occasion of the commemoration of its 70th anniversary, calls all speleologist to participate in its 70th congress to be held in the city of Matanzas, Cuba, between August 4th to the 8th, 2010. In the framework of this event the VI Congress of the Speleological Federation of Latin America and the Caribbean (FEALC) will also be held. With approximately 90% of its territory consisting of karstic areas, the Matanzas Province has major cave systems at the gates of the city, of which stand out –for its speleothems, wildlife and management policies- the "Bellamar" and "Santa Catalina" cave systems, located on the north coast. Both caves have been categorized as National Monuments. Also in the plains of center-south Matanzas territory, extends the karstic region that feeds the underground aquifer system of the "Zapata Marshland", located in the National Park of the same name, which also holds the categories of Biosphere Reserve and Natural Heritage of Humanity.

17/18 sept Nou Moulin Rochefort 8 vr/za De staalkabel is weer heeft geïnstalleerd die toelaat om in geval van onverwachte overstroming, te ontsnappen langs de boveningang. De kabel bevindt zich min of meer 5 m. boven de "Benitier". Echter, dit wil niet zeggen dat de grot veilig kan bezocht worden bij nat weer, want de onderste verdieping overstromen nog steeds totaal! Een leuk groeveweekend welk samenvalt met de start van de basiscursus, prima gelegenhed om te oefenen en de nieuwe leden te leren kennen. Natuurlijk is er ook de BBQ en een gezellige avond in de groeve. Aangezien we tijdens ons hemelvaart weekje genoeg regen hebben gehad voor het hele jaar moet dit een zonnig weekend worden. De kosten voor alleen het weekend zullen rond de 15 euro liggen. (inclusief toegang groeve en BBQ)

International Scientific and Practical Conference “Speleology and Spelestology": development and interaction of sciences, which will be held from 16 to 20 November 2010 in Naberezhnye Chelny (Russia). Themes of the conference: 1. Speleology: 2. Spelestology (Artificial caves) 3. Protection and using of the caves. After scientific discussions two days of excursions will be organized. The participants will visit the capital – Kazan and speleological and spelestological(Artificial caves) objects of Tatarstan: Sarmanovsky and Aktashsky copper mines (XVIII cent.); gypsum caves; Kamsko-Ustyinsky gypsum mine – one of the largest in Europe. The symposium 12th of the cave rescue commission of the UIS is on the way. Bulgaria proposes us a planning in a pleasant natural site. It was various accommodations. The caves, rivers, canyon and cliffs are interesting for exercise or application. From everybody we are waiting presentations on the news concerning the rescue since 4 years. It was new prototype of radio by cavers form England, Switzerland and France. It’s the same concerning diving with the “light stretcher”. The exchanges between different countries are concerning training but also different aspects: medical, materials and techniques, managing… Since the 11° symposium, we gave the Aggtelek declaration, written by the 24 countries present at this meeting, at the delegates during the last congress of UIS (Kerrville – Texas USA, summer 2009). Take good note of 8 to 15 may 2011, don’t miss this meeting and remember the message from our Belgium friends: if the rescue is serious we don’t take ourselves seriously. Op het succesvolle Internationale Speleologie Congres van de UIS in 2009 in Kerville, USA is besloten dat het volgende Internationale Congres gehouden zal worden in Tsjechië. Er is nu meer informatie beschikbaar over deze belangrijkste internationale speleologie bijeenkomst en er is nu een website in de lucht met de nu beschikbare informatie.
