In memory of Salvatore Dell'oca
Since the end of World War II there has been a significant evolution in the equipment and the tools for caving. From the technical point of view, it has gone from ladders to the single rope technique, achieving great advantages in the exploration of caves.
We believe it is appropriate to devote this 3rd International Symposium of Speleology to new technologies in caving. The Symposium will be held in the same place where there was the 2nd Symposium in 1972: Villa Monastero in Varenna (Lake Como).
The Symposium will be an opportunity to celebrate the 120th anniversary of the founding of the Gruppo Grotte Milano, one of the oldest groups of cavers in the world, still very active.
