In memory of the precursors that allowed the discovery and exploration of the Rupt du Puits in the Meuse Department, France.
To pay tribute to all the precursors of this exploration of which many are unfortunately missing the Group for Speleolgoical Studies and Research and the Proteus Caving Club will organize many events in the week of May 30 - June 6 2016.
Throughout this week:
- exhibition on the discovery of the Rupt du Puits to the present day
- tribute to the cave divers and Mr François Descaves
- exhibition on the underground Meuse
- Conferences (with the participation of the discoverers of the Rupt du Puits)
- Demonstrations and discovery with the cave divers in the sump of the Rupt du Puits
The exhibition will be conducted in a room made available by the municipality of Robert-Espagne. The exhibition will be open to the public and schools throughout the week.
From Friday, June 4 through Sunday, June 6, 2016 a large gathering of cave divers and cavers.

- Conference and debate on the adventure of the Rupt du Puits
- Slideshow of the underground in the Meuse Department
- Projection of a film about the crossing of the siphon (subject)
Demonstration of cave diving in the sump of the Rupt du Puits and reconstruction of the crossing of the siphon.
