4th Middle-East Speleology Symposium in Turkey

This is the fourth international meeting discussing the speleology of the middle- east region and its surroundings. Scientists and cavers from the region and beyond are invited to meet, discuss and prepare for future ventures.

• Presentation of new techniques, discoveries and explorations.
• Presentation and discussion of the related sciences and their application in the realm of speleology (e.g. geology, hydrogeology, archaeology).
• Karst, protection, environment and heritage.
• Sustainable development of caves and karst terrains (ecotourism themes).
• Transdisciplinary approach to karst terrains (combining physical sciences and social sciences with respect to karst).
• Implementation of strong bonds of friendship and comradeship among cavers, speleologists and cave lovers, resulting in further international/multi-disciplinary cooperative ventures.
