Scientific Speleolgogical Days, 23th edition - Journées de Spéléologie Scientifique, 23ème édition
Each year for more than 20 years now enthusiastic cavers meet for the scientific aspects of speleology in Han-sur-Lesse for a weekend of meetings, presentations and discussions.
The scientific meeting is mainly dedicated to Belgian karst and neighboring regions, as well as to the Belgian achievements abroad. The meeting is accessible for all and is intended to be an opportunity for cavers, scientists or merely curious to inquire or submit new observations or discoveries.
On Saturday there are many interesting lectures especially the lecture of Michel Douat from ARSIP on the karst and cave systems of the Pierre-Saint-Martin in the french/spanish Pyrenees and on Sunday there is a field trip to Comblain-au-Pont directed by Camille Ek from the University of Liège who will show several karst treasurer in this place near the river Ourthe.
