The Institute of Karst Geology and the International Union of Speleology are pleased to announce that the 1st Asian Speleological Conference/2nd Asian Transkarst Conference will be held November 6-8 in Lichuan, Hubei in the heart of Southwest China’s stunning karst landscape.

The conference will feature lectures and workshops on wide range of topics such as cave exploration, cave and karstgeology/geomorphology, cave biology, cave conservation and management, and caving techniques. Other highlights include keynote presentations by a panel of international experts and a mid-conference fieldtrip trip to Lichuan's Tenglong Dong showcave – one of the longest caves in China.

Asian Transkarst 2015 is open to anyone with an interest in Asia’s caves and karst, including cavers, karst scientist, and cave managers. The conference language will be English.
