We are pleased to announce that the fourth Iberian meeting on subterranean biology (EIBS) will be held at the Museu Balear de Ciències Naturals of Soller (Mallorca) (MBCN) on 25th, 26th and 27th September 2015. Our Museum will host this event this year, in the same line of the previous meetings.
IV EIBS will discuss biodiversity, ecology and conservation of the fauna of the underground cavities and other hypogea habitats of the Iberian Peninsula, Balearic Islands and Macaronesia (Canary Islands, Azores and Madeira) through oral presentations and poster sessions. The organization of a theoretical-practical seminar on groundwater biology as well as output of a karst resurgence on the island of Mallorca is also expected. The aim is to introduce and discuss results and advances in the field of underground biology and also to make a presentation of projects related to this field of science.
